Rachel is kind and caring with her clients. She was attentive to what I wanted and gave me all the tools to read about birth plan options and various topics throughout pregnancy. I felt less stressed during pregnancy knowing she was a text away to answer any questions I had. My birth didn’t go as planned but I think it went even better because Rachel ensured I was comfortable, informed, and my preferences were preserved. My husband and I felt so much more prepared with our first baby with Rachel on our team ❤️

Rachel was our birth doula for our first baby, and truly, I don’t know how we would have made it through without her. From the very beginning, her personalized care plan and consistent support were invaluable—especially as first-time parents. Rachel brings a wealth of knowledge grounded in evidence-based research, along with the real-life experience of being a mom herself. Rachel was there at the start of my induction to ensure I felt supported and comfortable, offering early pain management techniques and making herself available whenever labor progressed. She stepped in at key moments, like encouraging a hot shower to help with intense back labor, and guided me through breathing techniques that kept me grounded and focused (reminding me that the pain had purpose). At every decision point, Rachel helped us ask the right questions and made sure I felt fully informed and empowered in the direction my labor was taking. With her support, I was able to have a natural delivery despite the interventions, and we welcomed our sweet baby boy into the world. Even now, she continues to be a trusted resource—and has become a dear friend to both my husband and me. We are beyond grateful to have had Rachel as part of our birth story. I cannot recommend her enough.

I truly cannot recommend Rachel enough. As first time parents, we were so relieved to have her throughout my pregnancy and the birth of our daughter, and even into postpartum. The comfort, support, professionalism, and friendship she provided made the entire experience one that I will cherish forever. Any worries, fears, or anxieties that I had were met with understanding, warmth, and knowledge to ease my mind. Rachel definitely has a wide knowledge base of most everything I had questions about, and if she was ever unsure, she searched for the answers to be able to help. During my labor, Rachel was so amazing in anticipating my needs based on my mood or the stage I was in, and provided the exact comforts and support I needed. She gave me the confidence and preparation to have the most perfect delivery I could’ve asked for. I don’t know how I would’ve done it without her there, and I am forever grateful that she will always be part of my daughter’s birth story.

Rachel is the absolute BEST. We arrived in Okinawa over halfway through my pregnancy. This was my first pregnancy, and I was so scared of child birth. Rachel made me feel so validated and supported through my pregnancy, and taught me so many things to make me feel more confident in navigating pregnancy, planning for child birth, and preparing for when the baby comes. Rachel is extremely organized and knowledgable, and helped me create a birth plan that I felt confident in presenting to my health care team. It meant everything to me to have someone like Rachel to lean on when I felt scared or anxious about child birth and motherhood. She is the best support system, and am so grateful for her!

During my first pregnancy I didn't have a doula but was sent off base to a birthing clinic with a fantastic staff. While it was a good experience, for personal reasons I knew with my 2nd baby I wanted to deliver on base at Naval. I was very concerned about having extra support and reached out to a community who put me in touch with Rachel. From our first meeting, she put me at ease and I knew this was someone I could trust to help me through labour and delivery, again. Rachel was very thorough in creating my birth plan and assured any worries I had at the time. She arrived at the hospital not long after I was admitted, made sure I had everything I needed and patiently waited overnight until I called for her the next morning. She coached me through the most difficult part of my contractions, encouraging and praising me in my efforts. She stayed a little while afterwards making sure I was alright before she graciously departed; following up at a later date. I highly recommend Rachel to any expecting mother. I know she'll be the first one I call!
